Bird Cupcakes
For this project you will need:
100g lard
bird seed/peanuts
jam tarts tin
spoon
Sow it, Grow it projects

Melt 100gs of lard in a pan and add 100g of mixed bird seeds. You can include a few chopped peanuts, sunflower seeds and raisins too.

Spoon the fatty mixture into a non-stick jam tarts tin.

Smooth each cake flat with your spoon.

Decorate the cakes with seed patterns.

Chill the cupcakes in the fridge. Make sure nobody eats them!

Use a spoon to dislodge the cakes from the tin.
Then put a cake out for the birds making sure it is in a safe place off the ground. Watch as the birds tuck in. Remember, if you begin feeding birds it's important to keep it up as they will rely on you.
